October Residential Home Sales up 8% in Birmingham Metro

As 2014 comes to a close, it’s evident that the Birmingham-Hoover residential markets have continued to remain strong throughout a time where others aren’t faring as well. And, the Alabama Center for Real Estate (ACRE) recently reported October’s sales numbers, once again proving the strength of the Birmingham and surrounding housing markets.

Residential sales numbers were 7.7% higher in October than the sales in October of last year.  This October represents the eighth month in a row to post over 1,000 residential sales, a benchmark often used to gauge housing recovery. Additionally, the recorded sales numbers surpassed earlier predictions by 4%, encouraging both homebuyers and real estate professionals.

This region once again shows its stability, and as ACRE reports, it was in fact “one of the most balanced markets in Alabama during the month of October.”  It’s no wonder so many want to move to this area!  There are stunning, masterfully planned communities like Ross Bridge, along with a flourishing real estate market. What could be better?

The selection of new homes in Hoover is exemplified with the Ross Bridge community.  Three distinct communities, the Glasscott, the Haddon and the Southampton, allow families to pick and choose the one that is the perfect fit for them.  Beyond that, various new single-family homes for sale are available in different square-footages and floor plans, providing families with a home that feels tailored expertly to their lifestyle.

Speaking of lifestyle, Ross Bridge caters to many interests with resort-style amenities alongside the Ross Bridge Golf Course, a stop on the famous Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.  With a golf course, pools, parks, walking trails and an award-winning spa at the center of it all, Ross Bridge is an experience in of itself.

We can’t wait to see the latest reports from both November and December of this year.  With the upward patterns and positive projections so evident in recent months, we are certainly looking forward to 2015 in real estate!
