The Birmingham Association of Realtors reported home sales figures this week that showed metro Birmingham's home sales this year are outpacing 2011's sales by 22%. The home sales in February particularly have spiked, up to 755 from 596 a year ago. This is a 27% increase in February's home sales alone. As the foreclosure market dies off, prices of non-forclosure sales will quickly rebound as home buyers rush to grab the homes inventory at the record low mortgage rates we are currently seeing.
