Celebrating the Holidays at Ross Bridge

Living in the Ross Bridge community during the holidays is so much fun – we can’t deny our excitement!  And this year, there’s plenty to do right here in the Birmingham-Hoover area.  Here’s how you and your family can find the most fun this holiday season!

Frozen Fun – 12/6/14

Do your kids absolutely love Elsa, Anna, Olaf and the gang from Frozen?  This weekend on December 6th, there will be a free Frozen themed event in the Children’s Programming Room at 10:30am in the Hoover Library.  There will be crafts, games and even a visit from Olaf and Elsa themselves!

Holiday Open House at Artists On The Bluff – 12/11/14

No matter which holidays you’ll be celebrating this time of year, you’ll enjoy this festive open house held at Artists On The Bluff in Hoover. With an art sale and meet-and-greet with the artists, this is a great date-night or gift shopping destination!  The event will be held on December 11th, from noon until 9:00pm.

Polar Express and Touch of Transport at Alabama Theatre – 12/13/14

Who doesn’t love The Polar Express?  This year, the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham will be hosting a fun train-themed event for children of all ages.  With festive goodies, movie showings and a sing-a-long, it’s bound to be one memorable day.  See here for ticket information, you’ll be glad you did!

Trouble in Toyland! – 12/16/14

“That Puppet Guy” has a special presentation in store for kids of all ages at this Christmas Spectacular: Trouble in Toyland. Starting at 6:30pm in the Hoover Library Theatre, there will refreshments and even a visit from Saint Nick himself!

Winter Wonderland Holiday Exhibit 

Currently on display at the McWane Science Center in Birmingham is the Winter Wonderland Holiday Exhibit, a long favorite for so many families in the area.  The event runs through until January 11th and features an Ice Slide, the McWane Train, ice fishing and zip line.  Stop by the website for ticket information.

Alabama Symphony Orchestra: New Year’s Eve: A Viennese Celebration – 12/31/14

Ring in the New Year in a grandiose way – with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra!  This night promises to be unforgettable with waltzes, operatic selections and champagne.  It’s a great way to close the holiday season.  For tickets for this Dec 31st event, see here.
