Home Values Reflect Housing Market Progress

After months of continued progress, home values and prices are now starting to reflect the improvements in the Birmingham-Hoover housing market!

According to CoreLogic and, home prices measured in 4.5% higher in December 2014, compared to the same month in 2013.  And when considering nationwide data, prices increased 5% year-over-year, continuing a 34-month run of consecutive year-over-year growth.

These encouraging improvements are in conjunction with another report by the Birmingham Business Journal, stating that the residential market is “looking lively in Birmingham, as evidenced by strong growth in home sales and confidence among Realtors.”
