Winter Season Must-Dos in Birmingham, Alabama

The spring season might be in sight, but we still have a couple more weeks of cold weather to bear.  And that’s okay – we’re almost there!  Our residents at Ross Bridge thrive during golfing weather, but there are still so many fun things to do around Birmingham in the wintertime.  Here are a few of our favorites!

Museum Tours

An interesting museum is fun to go to year round, but in the winter, it provides a great excuse to stay indoors and learn more about a new topic.  In the Birmingham-Hoover area, we have the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, Thinktank, Blakesley Hall Museum and so many more. With all the choices, it might just take you all winter to discover them all!

Diversify Your Palette

Let’s face it – who doesn’t like using winter as an excuse to try delicious new foods?  Birmingham is known for its buzzing and energetic food scene, meaning residents at Ross Bridge are just minutes away from a full selection of eateries. There are too many list!

Enjoy Live Music

The winter season is a great time to uncover new bands and/or remember yesterday’s hits.  There are venues throughout Birmingham and Hoover, both small and large, that will see a stacked schedule of talented artists each year.  Places like Bottletree Café and Iron City are known for their indie tastes and diverse performances.

Catch a Movie

When was the last time you had a date night?  Grab your other half and head into town to catch the latest blockbuster. It’s too cold to do anything else!

With spring just a few short weeks away, we’re already getting excited for prime golfing season.  After all, when you live in a community that’s home to a course on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, how could you not? While we’re waiting, we’re sure enjoying all the fun to be had right in Birmingham!
